KENSRI sports has been painstakingly put together systems, programs, competitions, lessons, rubrics after running an academy in the US with about 450 students. All of them played for high schools, and a fair percentage played at universties and even at the national level. There are certain things that are different at KENSRI. These are conduct first, academics second and finally a coaching program that builds a thinking player.
Sports systems in India have certain things wrong. KENSRI has tried to first work with in the system but also stepped up to improve a system for our children. We have built systems which includes academics to help the children think for themselves. Also, we want to build a tennis player, first by making an athlete. Finally, we have helped many national players from Karnataka to have the experience of playing KENSRI futures’ competitions held only on week-ends, not to interfere with academic p, not to interfere with academic pursuit. We think it is foolhardy to have children ignore or make school and education secondary.
One of our primary duties as a coach is to ensure that we have given the players with whom we work the opportunity of broadens their skill base. These skills range from technical (batting, bowling fast and slow, throwing, catching, wicket keeping), physical(speed, reaction, running, coordination, balance), mental(knowing how and when to make decisions), tactical(understanding strategy- applying it and responding to it), leadership(captaincy, responsibility and accountability), intellectual(the ability to think, problem solve), social(playing and training together as an individual within a group), emotional(being able to share or sympathies with inner feelings) and so on.

Nominated as the coach of the year for USTA in 2003. Have coached over 500 children in the US at his academy in the Washington Metropolitan area. Developed a tennis academy like nothing before, which at one time boasted of the top tennis player of about 10-12 high school teams in both boys and girls. It was the most comprehensive academies in the US. Every student played for high school and almost 30 percent went on to play for college. Sponsored over 15 students from India and many of them got tennis scholarship in major US universities. Many of his students went on to play the top rung of USTA tournaments and played at the national level. Worked for the famed Harry Hopman while he was alive at the Saddle Brook Academy. Has created a sustainable program to develop a top rung tennis players without compromising their future.

Program
1)All these are conducted as a subject in KENSRI during regular classes. (8.10 am- 2.45 pm) - 40 min/class. MONDAY- FRIDAY.
2)After school program - This program is not only open for students of KENSRI but its a program for all - students & adults who have an interest to reach their potential in the game. 2 days, 3 days, 5 days and weekend programs - Timings: 3.30 p.m - 5.00 p.m, 4.30 p.m - 6.00 p.m. MONDAY - FRIDAY. Week end program timings - 7.00 a.m - 8.30 a.m, 8 a.m - 9.30 a.m
3)Team practice for UNDER- 14 and 16. (3.15 pm- 5.00 pm). MONDAY - FRIDAY.
4)FUTURES is a regular - predictable - non stressful competition to help students in creating a network of friends not only with our school students but also with students from other schools who have similar interest. Regular tournaments will be held under age category: U10, U12, U14.
